Our Mission: Mental Health Matters
Chandelle is an organization dedicated to helping individuals receive psychiatric treatment.
But why does this matter?
Without treatment, the statistics speak for themselves. Globally, about 800,000 people die from suicide, which is one person every 40 seconds. In 2020, in the United States alone, there were 45,979 deaths by suicide, making it the second leading cause of death among individuals between 10-14 and 25-34, the third leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 15-24, and the fourth leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 35-44. To put this in perspective, there were nearly two times as many suicides (45,979) as there were homicides (24,576). Behind each death, 12.2 million adults seriously thought about suicide, 3.2 million made a plan, and 1.2 million adults attempted suicide. All of this is to say mental health and access to care is a huge problem.
We believe that any individual who requires treatment should receive it. Accordingly, we donate directly to psychiatric hospital treatment programs. We ask that you help us change lives.
